Really enjoyed it. Deffo one I’d have gone to the cinema to watch.

Real chemistry between Hanks and the girl, who was stand out.

I just dismissed it as another beige Hanks film but actually sounds pretty good. Going to watch it tonight.

I just dismissed it as another beige Hanks film but actually sounds pretty good. Going to watch it tonight.

For most parts, it`s a really gentle film, as it`s all about the relationship between Hanks and the little girl ( who is fantastic ).

It`s a shade under two hours long and it really didn`t feel that long.

After loving Train to Busan I gave the sequel 'Peninsula' a go last night, rented via Apple TV.

Haven't been so disappointed with a film in a long time. It took everything good about the first film and done the opposite. The CGI was wonky and it had so many plot pitfalls and laziness in the story. So many moments of muttering 'ridiculous' throughout.

The fellas in the Montrose, would`ve been fighting over Pinhead in that leather outfit.

Gemini Man - the new one.

Honestly feel like they went in the wrong direction with this one. Would have been much better with young Will Smith as the main character kind of thrust into the espionage world. He’s grown up stable in a ‘planted’ family and now he’s trying to be killed by old and jaded assassin Will Smith.

I remember thinking this was OK, but it all felt a bit dated and pointless. The main thing I remember was how horrible it looked in 60 fps - was almost headache-inducing.

Went to Quarry Bank (is that Calderstones now?) An old workmate of mine was in his class. She said Stevie Coppell, Brian Barwick and Les Dennis were all in the same year.

Watched A Rainy Day in New York. It was OK, and perfectly watchable in the way that most of Woody Allen's later films are - to be honest, I find them all starting to merge into each other, as he tends to make the same film time and again. As ever, he makes New York look great. Whatever he gets up to in his own time, he's still pretty reliable as a filmmaker.

summer of 84. not bad, had a bit of the goonies feel to it even though it was described as a horror/mystery. last 10 minutes sort of ruined it as it wasnt really in keeping with the rest of the film. maybe 6.5/10

Seven. One of those 90s films you fear may have aged really badly but still looks really good with excellent performances.
Shame Spacey’s legacy kinda ruins it slightly.
