Last Film You Watched

Whoever recommended - Red Spot ( on Netflix ) thanks, what a cracking little film.

When it starts off, you think it`s just going to be another one of those films, where the young, good looking city folk, fall foul of the local rednecks, but it`s far from it.

The twist in the last 15 mins completely turns the film on it`s head and it`s very clever the way the film leads you down one path, then completely changes direction.

A modern day Swedish Deliverance.

Just had a look and see Red Dot and Black Spot, but no Red Spot?

Watched "Burning" last night with Steven Yeon, 2018 flick. The ever loving F did I watch? I have no idea if I'm missing about 6 things with that movie but, after reading a tiny bit about it, it seems like that's what everyone else thinks. Good movie overall

Last couple of weekends watched Insidious 1 & 2. I'm not a big horror movie fan normally, especially the ones with lots of jump scares, but my gf loves to watch them, but these were pretty good imo, especially the second one.
Really liked the way the second one loops around and interacts with scenes from earlier in th efilm, and from the first film as well. Kind of like a supernatural Back to The Future 2.
I like both of the leads aswell. Not as obviously superstars like some bigger names, but do a good job imo, and the male reminds me of a serious Will Arnett, and the female a little of Vera Farmiga.

Total Recall (1990)

Watched the recently released 4K UHD last night. Looks and sounds really good.

With a little bit of work on the screenplay they could have left it open as to whether the entire film is actually Quaid's imagined spy fantasy but there's too many scenes playing out between other characters independent of Quaid for that to be a question.

Not quite Robocop levels but still a great example of that 80's / early 90's ultra violent action flick before CGI and changing attitudes to mainstream cinema changed how things were done. The human shield on the metro escalator is blood squib heaven for practical effects fans.
