Last Film You Watched

Watched Escape From Petoria last night, good film about a prison escape in South Africa.
True story, seems historical pretty accurate too, even down to one prop being a real one from the actual escape.

If your interested in political history from the 60s it's worth a watch for the apartheid connection
Thought it was a very good film and, most surprisingly of all, I thought Harry Potter was well cast and very believable; I’m fact I’d say he’s really matured as an actor (I’m often his biggest critic).

Just watched Coming 2 America. Was hopeful of it being good but it's average at best. Nice for a bit of a nostalgia trip as the first one is one of my favourite comedies ever. But I didn't really like any of the new characters and it's just a bit boring in general. Probably should have just left it alone after over 30 years

Agree on this, when the Woman In Black came out I was put off by people saying "Its the lad from Harry Potter" but as an adult actor he is good

Us (2019)

Family on holiday gets terrorised by their doppelgangers.

Great idea but I felt it cheats in the way it initially presents the backstory to the viewer which lessens an already unnecessary twist. Bit slowly paced in parts as well with a very clunky exposition dump towards the end. Great ideas, themes and performances though.

Definitely worth a watch and is a good film but doesn't hit the heights of Get Out.

This on Netflix, mainly because it has Woody Harrelson in it as a mad preacherman, not sure what I made of it,the two lead actors are great, but the role of Davids wife, who has a lot of screen time doesnt really add to the story,it makes it overlong and slows the pace right down, its a decent enough film and story it just seems to be padded out with a lot of pointless scenes

He's good in Imperium as well.

Has made a lot of interesting and varied role choices since his Harry Potter days. Even copping off with a pantomine horse on stage.

I haven't seen it, but still this.

Watched this again yesterday, and it's still one of my favorite films:

It came out at the same time as this film:
Paul_blart_mall_cop_film.jpg
Both films are comedies and are about shopping mall security guards.
So, if you have some free time, and haven't seen both films, might I suggest that you watch them one after another? The difference in humor will blow your mind. lol
Hint: Quentin Tarantino chose Observe and Report as one of his favorite films of 2009, whilst Paul Blart... Well, I mean, the poster alone should be enough to tell you everything you need to know. (n)

Ooooof, one of the best British films I have been in a while. A shame the director hasn't made a film since.
