Just about to watch The Godfather....



For the first time!! lol

It's a wonderful film - Top 3 of all time undoubtedly

Brando is magnetic, but otherwise i found the film quite dull. part II is much more interesting. i avoided part III as i keep hearing its utter pants.

I thought it was very good!! I honestly had no idea what happened in it. Good knows how I've never seen it!! I might watch 2 tomorrow night!

It's not just me that isn't over fussed with it then. I just tend to keep quiet lol

Tbh, I'm fairly nonplussed by that genre of film in general. I've seen nearly all of the classics and I can't think of any that I get excited about.

Bloody loved it

Have you seen the first? I'm tempted to go see Part 2 but I haven't seen the first, if I watch the 2nd first would that ruin my pleasure in seeing the 1st later?

I would highly recommend watching the first one before you go - Part 2 picks up directly after the close of Part 1

Went to Paris a few years ago and dragged the missus to the restaurant Polidor where Hemingway used to drink

I loved it but she hated it!

Argh! Have been to Paris a couple times in the last 4/5 years, and have walked literally a street or two away from it without realising it was even there!

i'm a bit more plussed, as Goodfellas is really entertaining. Carlito's Way is worth a watch. Untouchables is great fun. Some are a chore, like Once Upon A Time In America.

Donnie Brasco is another good one in that ilk of you haven't seen it. One of my favourites in that genre.
