Last Film You Watched

Watched a very good horror film last night from Argentina called 'Terrified'. Dark & foreboding right from the off with lots of jump scares that you don't see coming. The creepy tension never lets up so you never get the chance to relax for the whole 90 minutes. Well worth a watch if you like your horror movies & don't mind subtitles.
I really liked it, except for the fact that you never really found out what was going on! Well worth a watch though. Wasn't [Rec] from that part of the world too? Another good'un.

I listen to a horror movie podcast, and the theme at the moment is a battle between two Italian directors: Joe D'Amato and Bruno Mattei.

If you're a fan of the ol' "so bad, they're good" horror/action movies then these guys are for you.

Notables so far are:

- Shocking Dark (AKA Terminator 2) - Legit released in Italy as a sequel to Terminator even though there was no relation whatsoever. Funnier still is that it was more of a direct rip-off of Aliens.

- Robowar - Another massive rip-off, this time of Predator (with a bit of RoboCop thrown in)

- Anthropohagus - Cannibal gore

- Strike Commando - OTT action

The Devil Below.

Unfair right ups imo, as it watches like a good old fashioned B movie horror and doesn’t try to be anything other than that.

A group of geologists, led by a mercenary wilderness expert, search for a lost mine and town, that disappeared off the face of the earth in the 70’s. Nasty things lurk in the mine.

Like a cross between the Descent and the Hills Have Eyes.

Entertaining and an easy watch.

Netflix.

Not 100% sure but I think it was located in Barcelona. Really good film though, especially that last 10 minutes when I had to watch it from behind the couch, with me being a wimp and all that

I am watching "Black Summer" (a series) on Netflix, which is a pretty decent Zombie stuff. Shows the chaos on the ground from when the break-out first occurred--not so much about the zombies, but about the crazy human panic/fear/terror/awfulness (at least the first two episodes do, not sure where it is going). Decent, but yeah, a done-to-death genre.

Yeah, decent in exactly the way you describe it.
