Which cinema did you go to? My wife took the two youngest to Cineworld and said it was very quiet - good for them, but not so good for the industry.

Cineworld.

It was about normal for a wet Thursday night. Mainly the yoof.

Not many masks on show, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who is twitchy.

I went to my local Odeon last sat. Was relatively busy, and full of annoying dickheads chatting and laughing all the way thru the film

Yeah, was glad to see it busy, just wished they'd all shut up or go watch another movie!

I don't get the mentality of going to the cinema and chatting away. The odd, short and quiet discussion can be tolerated, but full-blown discussions...nah!

I just tell them to shut up when it happens at ours.

While I've only read snippets about it, there's talk of a dry period or at least less in terms of quality output due to COVID stopping filming and production.

You've also got studios opting directly for the streaming route rather than signing deals with the cinema chains.

Yeh last new release I saw at the cinema (I think) was Tenet. After that they just re-ran old movies since no new films were being released. Hopefully back end of this year/next they’ll be back up to speed. One of the more annoying sides of COVID was all the films that got stopped in production.

It’s easily in the top 10 worst films I’ve ever seen.

It’s almost impossible to mess a film up with that cast, but they’ve managed to do it with bells on.

Even the cast looked bored to death. More life in the actual zombies to be honest.
