Just watched a film called Frida, true story about a South American woman called Frida Kalho. Interesting film about her life, she was a great painter who painted pictures that reflected personal experiences such as having a miscarriage several times.

Salma Hayek, isn't it? Interesting woman. Married to Diego Rivera. Another great painter.

No 1 in UK according to Netflix. So ended up watching Suicide Squad last night.

The new KINGDOM film is good...

Gives the girl at the end of the 2nd season a backstory, however it could really have been another hour long really...didnt seem rushed but at the same time incomplete.

Looks better than the first abortion...which isn't too hard.
The book deserves a decent film.

Blood Red Sky on Netflix. Its a weird mix of genres and the story is told in a slightly weird order. I'm not sure if I liked it much, but it was an ok watch if looking for something.

Re watched Dead Mans Shoes last night after the Mrs and I watched The Virtues recently….. I’ve watched it several times but Mrs hadn’t seen it.
semi suprised but she quite enjoyed it and the reveal toward the end got the shock I had been hoping for .
Said she quite like gritty films, so trying to get her to watch Nil By Mouth, Once Were Warrior and Tyrannosaur next

Watched that yesterday.

A good idea - hijackers on a plane, with a vampire who is able to control her hunger, amongst the passengers and is faced with having to unleash herself on them to save her son and plane.

However, the first hour is just dull and doesn’t get going until then. At that point it becomes a half decent film.

Great film, director Oliver Stone was a Vietnam vet, highly decorated, if you got the DVD with his commentary track its fascinating

Watched a few this week at the cinema, Forever Purge I didnt rate at all

Normally Marvel and Disney I give a wide berth to but I did see Cruela and enjoyed it, has some great music in it too like The Stooges and Black Sabbath!
Also enjoyed Black Widow, Florence Pugh was the best one in it for me.
