When I got the free trial to watch Everton last season I watched it, really enjoyed it, it's a fascinating story and includes a prop used in the real escape.Escape from Pretoria on Amazon. Yeah, I turned that off as wellView attachment 136863
All I can say, is that Bruce Willis must be really really skint, as this is comically bad
Aliens aboard a space ship ( yawn ).
I’ve seen much better episodes of Red Dwarf.
Dreadful.
On Netflix.
Yeah, I turned that off as well
I can't do it, the amount of part watched films I have on netflix lol I can handle crap stories if the acting isn't terrible as well but some are awfulI watched it until the end, as I was curious to see if it would get any better as it went on.
It didn’t !
Really looking forward to watching Dark Waters, even if the subject matter infuriates me.Dark waters, I cannot believe the things big corporations will do for money. In fact what most people will do for large amounts of money, just lose all morality, I despair at times.
If anyone hasn't heard of it, check out Dupont and the manufacture of Teflon(C8)
Dark Waters is brilliant, Mark Ruffalo as ever fantastic @Terrarian I love dramas like this, based on true storiesReally looking forward to watching Dark Waters, even if the subject matter infuriates me.
Massive digression from the topic but...
I used to work in Oil & Gas back home in Norway and I remember we had a lot of talks about using/handling Teflon safely (gaskets and what not). Obviously, it led to us thinking about things like Teflon coated cookware and what have you. We all knew it was bad stuff.
Well, it's years later and I now work in the chemical / pharmaceutical industry in the US and boy, most people wouldn't belive what's going on higher up in those companies. The constant drive for higher profits leads to so much corruption. And don't get me started on lobbyism, which really is just white collar legalized corruption at this point. The really eerie part is how, on the top level, a lot of companies calculate profits versus legal costs if they're sued over product safety. Conspiracy theories? Only if you're extremely sheltered and naive.
Word of advice? Stay away from Roundup. And yes, GMO seeds are bad. Both the concept, how they're marketed, how they're made/coated/planted etc.
Back on topic...
I saw Interstellar again the other day. Still fantastic. Always make me tear-up a little too. Too close to home I suppose, having had a travelling job all my adult life.
No what platform is it on? I like true stories as well.Dark Waters is brilliant, Mark Ruffalo as ever fantastic @Terrarian I love dramas like this, based on true stories
As for DuPont, nasty company, in the early days of the internet, well maybe early 90s, one of my brothers mates set up a website called Gay Men In Lycra, and there lawyers came after him.
Bearing in mind this was a small website hardly any views and he wasnt making money, they seemed a bit ruthless.
Have you seen Foxcatcher about John du Pont?
