Don’t Let Go.

Really enjoyed this, as it’s a real head bender.

I won’t even try to explain it, but the niece of an LA detective, is murdered along with her family and he starts receiving phone calls from her after her death and together they start to unravel the murder.

It involves, the past, the present and the future, hence the head bending !

Cracking performance from Storm Reid as the detectives niece - a star in the making.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there's an Italian crime drama up on iPlayer called 'Piranhas'

It's set in Naples and it's about a gang of teenage lads getting involved in criminal activity

I thought it was decent and well worth watching, thought it was worth bringing it up as there are a few of us on here who like Gomorrah, Suburra etc.

Watched a cracking film on TV the other night - Funny Cow

A comedian uses her troubled past as material for her stand-up routine, trying to rise up through the comedy circuit by playing Northern England's working men's clubs.

Paddy Considine is in it along with every other gritty northern film made in the last 20 years.

Great cast used fantastically. The suspenseful ending in particular was right up my street.

Really think it must be Jackman's best performance, an actor who for me goes underappreciated.

Edit: On Amazon Prime for those who haven't seen it.

Shang chi....
Quite enjoyable....apart from shoehorning Ben Kingsley in as a 'paul-mccartney' esque Scouse actor who of course managed to get his rs scarf into prison with him

Wrong Turn.

I really wasn’t expecting much, as quite often the reboots are dreadful, but this is a cracker.

Ignore the reviews, it’s excellent ( if you like this sort of film )

Starts off like ever other “ group of unlikable, privileged kids go hiking in the woods and bad stuff happens “ type film.

But once the bad stuff starts to happen, it really kicks into gear and develops into
a very effective psychological horror film. I’d say it’s better than the first..

Charlotte Vega, who I’d never heard of, is outstanding in the lead

A cross between Deliverance and the lesser known Ritual.

On Netflix

I clocked this yesterday but thought it was the original which I wasn't that fussed about, I ended up watch "Into the Inferno" instead, that was decent with a very good cast in it

It starts off pretty much like any of these films, but once they get into the hills it becomes really polished and the sets are excellent too.

I’d have happily gone to the cinema to see it.

Great ending too.
