Last Film You Watched

Watched Train to Busan. Since Zombie stuff has been done to death, this one had a novel spin of essentially merging trains with zombies. Decent enough, with some unrealistic, dramatic pauses where characters stop and ruminate for way too long, as well as some overly maudlin scenes. But fun.

As far as Zombie stuff, I still think the netflix series Black Summer was the best zombie show I've seen in a long while.

The Prodigy.

On Film4 last night and wasn’t expecting much. WRONG !

A really dark, creepy and unsettling horror.

At the exact time a baby boy is born, a serial killer is shot dead by the police and the baby boy is reincarnated as a genius and also as the serial killer.

The film follows the boy from birth, to the age of around 8/9, as his behaviour becomes more and more sinister.

A standout from the young lad in the lead as well.

A really effective horror film, which is becoming harder and harder to do.

I thought the second series of Black Summer was much much better than the first.

Much tighter, full on and relentless.

If you want to see top class, bone chilling horror go on Netflix, look for "Werewolves of the 3rd Reich " it's set in a concentration camp, you can tell who the inmates are by the oversize Primark pyjamas they wear, it's a soon to be classic

Does the lad get sent to outer space to find another race?
 

Frankenstein meets the Wolf man : not much thought given to the ridiculous plot, but the lighting was superb, and the hamminess a delight.

Now watching The Mummy's Hand, they've just went into an Egyptian tomb high in the Hollywood Hills, off to a great start. :)
