Aye aye, this is a bit of a corker. Its ostensibly another of Roger Corman's Edgar Allen Poe films, but in fact its primarily a Lovecraft adaptation (The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward) and is seemingly one of the earliest attempts to put his work on film.
Its creepy, atmospheric, well made on a tight budget and with the Necromicon, Cthulu and other mythos present and touches of cosmic horror there's plenty for Lovecraft fans to feast on.
Lovingly restored by Arrow, I really enjoyed this as one of our Halloween horrors.

You might enjoy this @summerisle

It warms my heart to see other people still buying physical media as well!

Enter the Dragon (1973)

So I've seen this countless times over the last 30 odd years, but....
I'm really pleased with myself for only just noticing this, and I've sent it to loads of mates and they've found it funny, so here goes...

Just noticed that he has a Jimi Hendrix poster and a "black power" poster on the walls of his hotel room where he's staying on the bad guys island... so that means he took them with him when he travelled there and he hung them up himself ha ha ha ha ha.....genius touch that. Well either that or Mr Han (the main baddie) had a special suite prepared for his black guest when he arrived..... 70's non-PC racial stereotyping or what??
Would love to see the set designer's brief for this scene.... like "a brothers gotta take pictures of "Jimi" and "the movement" with him wherever he goes"....I buzz off how smooth he is with the broads as well pimp daddy him ha ha ha ha.... Fine-ass white girl was salty because he never "picked" her.....

Boss film, not just for the fighting action but the characters and, funky fashions and general cool mood.... a brilliant 70's time capsule

Dune. Finally. Went out for dinner and drinks with a couple of good friends first (only had 3 beers and a double scotch) but after a long and busy day at work, another abject EFC performance and the ale on top of the food probably guaranteed I'd fall asleep after about 15 minutes. I've read the books too, so I knew the story and how deep it is.

Well, I wasn't going to nap and miss THAT! Absolutely brilliant from start to finish! I live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere and they haven't even heard of IMAX theaters here! :) but our little theater IS good, with GREAT sound. And the musical score from this film blew me away.

Its movies like this that come around once in a while that make me remember why going to the movies is my favorite thing to do.

Stunning.

Just seen Last Night in Soho and really enjoyed it, lots of great music and 60s cultural referances but aside from that its a really good film with an interesting twisty turny story, well worth seeing.
