Pirates : the Last Royal Treasures.

S. Korean Pirates of the Caribbean.

Great fun, non stop action and not to be taken seriously.

Netflix.

I adore Asian (films made in that continent…..)cinema, the best horrors and action films by a country mile for the last 20 years, such a shame Hollywood remakes them because people can’t be bothered to read subtitles! Nicolas Cage in Bangkok Dangerous FFS!! Can’t beat “the raid: redemption” for mindless non stop action nonsense, absolutely magnificent

I talking about recent ones, like the last 10 years or so...

Not that many worth watching in all fairness after the obvious classics as they are the cheapest films to make and with the majority you can tell. If you haven’t gone down the Asian cinema route then there are loads… the ring, ichi the killer, audition, ju- on, dark water, the eye…. Just because they do something a little bit different:
babadook, quiet place, cabin in the woods, rec (a little bit older but if you haven’t seen it it’s very good), the wailing, train to busan.
I didn’t mind “the ritual” either

- Master
- The Innocents
- You Won't Be Alone
