Wasn’t a massive fan of wind river.

Rewatched the town the other day and liked it a lot more than on my first watch.

Big fan of the affleck Boston dramas.

Good will hunting, gone baby gone, the town, Manchester by the sea.

They’ve hardly missed a beat with those.

Wow. This is good.
Like, really good.
Like, expecting another tedious franchise slog fest and getting a visceral, brutal, tense reinvigoration of the series good.
The setting is brilliant, the characters are engaging, the story is basic of course but well executed, the cinematography is gorgeous, the soundtrack is excellent, the FX are great, the Predator, actually intimidating again.
They've cast native Americans in the roles, they managed to neatly deal with the language question, and in fact there's a version also dubbed in Comanche.

Out of absolutely 'kin nowhere they've breathed life into a well dead vehicle.

Really, really, really good.

Really liked it. Perhaps a bit of a slow start, but once the Predator action got going it was great. Really liked the main actress as well. It's probably the second best movie of the franchise. It doesn't manage to deliver the same tension as the original of course, as it lacks the horror element, and it doesn't have nearly as memorable characters. But still a great watch. Really refreshing. Wish they showed a bit more of the gore, as it was often pretty dark/or they cut away from it. 7/10

Just watched.

Didn't disappoint at all which is awesome.

I was going to avoid it altogether after reading it was being made. Totally different (obvs) to the Arnie one but actually I think I prefer it. (time will tell I suppose)

The main girl in it is a proper action hero. So good.

10 trophy skulls out of 10.

Pressed play, was in English. Went onto languages/subtitles for Comanche, no joy.

Googled it, found out I have to click a whole other version of the film, I do, it’s Comanche dub but no English subtitles on. Switched them on, it told me a dog barked about halfway up my screen.

Ragequit.

Watched English version begrudgingly, then got to the end, needed subs.

Properly amateur.

I just watched it in English, because I speak English.
