Hundreds of hours of footage of one man pushing his paychecks in ever more dangerous props to Mach 10.3. Check. Photocopied screenshots of the first film carefully stickytaped over the new film with told you so montages and harsh and unspoken issues playing under banging bangers. Check. A clever fusion of new characters replacing the older fatter ones, but leaving a little room for a stab at foreshadowing what could be a final characters final performance at the box office. Check.

I was expecting them all to be partying away with the win on USS Partyboat and suddenly the enemy like turn up and like get all shooty coz they totally just got invaded.

I actually thought the rest of the film, from when he first crashed was a hallucination because he’d never survive that. Thats what im going with and it was amazing. 4 out 5.

I watched it last night, thought it was junk. Lacked all the homo-eroticism of the first one. The janky, his son hates me because reasons and the let's not do this again love interest.

I like the planes though, they should do more with them. Like a spin off origin story or something.

I watched this last month on the plane while going on holiday.

It was truly awful, storyline was beyond silly and the Red neck robbers storyline was surreal.

It was so bad i actually enjoyed it but for the rest of the flight I listened to Pink Floyd as i had to have a break from watching movies.

Either that or Dune was the worst movie I watched on them flights.

I am all over it for my next viewing hot take.

If it needs more sharks or less Martin Sheen narration, I won't be afraid to say it.

Hipsters be damned. Jaws, Alien and Gremlins 2 are the greatest movies ever made. Anything with a dragon, elf or sand can do one.
 
Watched Top Gun 3 - A Hornet's Tale in my head earlier. Loved it. The bit about gravitational stress on the dad's airframe was almost as tear jerking as the dog- Marley? - buying the farm in Marley & Me.

Great soundtrack too, Highway to the danger zone on continuous loop was inspired and a clear nod to the original.

Needed more volleyball, but that's a minor quibble. 7.5/10 will watch again.

Top gun 4 - the little biplane that could. missing sharks and sheen though.
