Firestarter (2002) on Sky. A bit meh. In fact it was as meh as the original starring Drew Barrymore.
Disappointing because it is one of my favourite Stephen King books. Neither film captured the relationship between father and daughter as the book did.

Big boys don't cry.
True story based on the notorious St Leonards boys home in Essex where numerous young lads were systematically raped & beaten, the youngest just 5 years old, over quite a long period of time. It's a difficult watch, & at times it made me cry, & made me so angry I so wanted to punch the lights out of every single one of those evil, despicable, individuals who took part in this awful crime against those poor, defenceless young boys, who's only crime was to be abandoned by those who brought them into this world. What made it even worse is that many of those lads took their own lives early on in adulthood. The story focuses on one boy - Paul Connelly - who happily came through it all & is now married with young children of his own. It's a very tough watch though.
