Fear Street: 1666 - 7/10

The Abominable Snowman (1957)
Great visuals, good tension and I think it's a good call not to show the creature for most of the movie. Peter Cushing is awesome in this as always.
Edit: Should probably give a mention to Forrest Tucker as well. This is the first film I've ever seen with the guy. Thought he and Cushing had great chemistry.
8/10

Rewatched this tonight as it was a favourite of mine as a child (brought to mind with the sad news of Julian Sands disappearance)

It's not aged well at all (some of the special effects are hilarious) but it has that 80s charm that just cannot be replicated - no matter how hard modern studios try

Watched "Hold the Dark". Good film. A crime noir film that takes place in Alaska. About wolves and weird "cult-ish-like" behaviors and cops chasing bad guys. Riley Keough of American Honey and Zola (and is Lisa Marie Presley's daughter--imagine growing up and having Michael Jackson as your stepdad for two years!!) has a small role. But the film is dominated by the great acting of Jeffrey Wrignt and Alexander Skarsgard.
