It's just the rushed ending for me I didn't like. Also not sure on if Rami Malek can ever play just a normal bloke.

Not sure if it's rushed or they didn't have the bottle to follow through on a different ending so came up with what ended up on screen.

Missed the big opening act of the cruise liner tipping upside down but not too difficult to catch up with the plot. Half decent disaster movie but I don't think it's too controversial to say that Wolfgang Petersen has better on his CV.

Horror Noir mate, watched the two of them and read all the Steve Alten books, books much better by the way. But enjoyed the film's pure hokum.

Significant Other.

Low budget horror sci-fi type thing. Borrows some ideas from the far superior movie “Annihilation”. Had a nice bait and switch halfway through, but generally a bit meh.

Very good Australian horror. Genuinely creepy with some shocking, jarring moments, and avoids cheap jump scares. Great dialogue and well acted from a young cast. Best horror I’ve seen for ages.
