Last Film You Watched

All these movies are the same but I still love them nonetheless.

Is this like The Babysitter mixed with Happy Death Day and Hot Tub Time Machine? If so then I am IN!

Totally Killer on prime is very good too, think back to the future crossed with scream. It worked and has the young girl out of mad men as the star
Just saw this last night. Was basically everything I hoped it would be. The main characters reaction to how 80s the 80s were was a particularly unforeseen highlight though! Not so much of The Babysitter, but 100% what you would expect a mix of the other two to be.

One Cut of the Dead
Such a fun and creative film. Last time I watched this was in the cinema, where the subtitles were two minutes out of sync and it was still funny. Tonight was my first time actually understanding the Japanese dialogue. Still funny! 8/10

This evening, I will be mostly watching....

Hackman "You just shot an unarmed man"
Eastwood "Well, he should have armed himself"

We got lucky at the turn of the 90's with this (92) and 'Dances with wolves' (90), two superb pieces of western cinema, both very different and incredibly sad.
Well, this is handy, a quick scoot around and what'd you know...

"The lost boys" starts on BBC THREE in 8 minutes, and runs back to back with "Unforgiven" at 11pm on Quest. Deal!
Rugby, few beers, Clint on late. Tonight, 'unforgiven', quest, 11pm.

Watched some classic Hitchcock this morning as there was nowt on telly, the 1941 noir thriller Suspicion, starring Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine. Wonderful film and Grant comes off as both dopey and smarmy at the same time
This, coming soon. I wonder if he'll try to replicate his voice ?

Friday the 13th
20 years since I watched this, so all i remembered was the twist at the end. Okay entertainment, some good effects, like the rainy setting, but overall it's a pretty mediocre slasher. A real killing of a snake is also a BIG NO from me. 6/10

Fun fact, Kevin Bacon’s death scene effect had to be done on the fly by Tom Savini himself blowing as the cord pumping the fake blood got damaged hence why you hear a slight gurgling sound as the blood shoots out Bacon’s ‘throat’

Friday the 13th Part 2
Pretty much a better film than the first one in every single way - except the gore effects. The acting is better, the characters are less annoying and it's got better prodution value. There's also less bad attempts at being funny. Still not good enough for a higher rating though. 6/10

Watched Captain Correli’s Mandolin last night, personally I thought it was a good watch and really enjoyed it.
After that I went old school and watched The Hunt for Red October, again another film I still enjoy watching after seeing it numerous times.
And lastly ‘Strays’… I recently saw this in the cinema and it gave me belly laughs so watched it again last night… good fun.
