Watched Lincoln on the plane the other day the second time I’ve watched it, what a performance by Day-Lewis remarkable wish he could be persuaded to return to the big screen.
Yes it's good mate but nearly turned it off after 30. Minutes, glad i.still with itJust watched this mate. Jeez, that was a tough watch at times… but powerful film.
Another one ruined by an offender. (jeffrey jones). Films and tv I've enjoyed previously is starting to stack up in the 'ruined' zone.
Great film. Proper sawdusty.Great trilogy of books and films.
I watched Remember The Titans, last night good film, with some good messages around Team spirit.
UTFTs!

I like the bit where there's a couple of platoons of soldiers surrounding the potting shed he's holed up in, they cut it to ribbons and he comes stepping out untouched like it's his birthday and wallops em all like they're a domino rally. Good for David Patrick Kelly.Commando - Arnie, 80s, bags of terrible one liners
One of the many scenes the kids in our street recreated with cap guns in our childhood. The film itself is even more ridiculous than I remembered absolutely perfect for an episode of how did this get made?I like the bit where there's a couple of platoons of soldiers surrounding the potting shed he's holed up in, they cut it to ribbons and he comes stepping out untouched like it's his birthday and wallops em all like they're a domino rally. @NymzeeJust finished watch the Lord of the rings trilogy. Like most of us we've all seen it million times but every time i watch the ending where the eagles pick up Frodo & Sam i cant help think the whole thing would be a lot shorter & a lot easier if Gandalf summoned the eagles on day 1 & they flew Frodo straight to the mountain to pop the ring in the lava.
Am i missing something? I've never read the book.

I too have raised this as an issue before, to much outcry…Just finished watch the Lord of the rings trilogy. Just been to see it , it’s very goodWatched the latest Ken Loach film, The Old Oak today. Ken’s alright.
They thought stealth would be more successful, and even if they died along the way the ring would have been lost again. Whereas flying in the open would most likely have come into contact with the Nazgul and ended up with Sauron obtaining the ring.I too have raised this as an issue before, to much outcry…![]()
