Last Film You Watched

The Fellowship of the Ring (extended)

The greatest fantasy film ever made. I've probably seen it 40 times by now, and it still feels fresh (even though I remember all the lines) whenever I watch it.
Also, I can't think of a single score that's better than this one. Iconic from beginning to end.

The fact this film about hobbits, elves and dwarves, after all these years, still gives me so many different strong emotions is unbelievable. When they struggled like hell to defeat the cave troll in Moria, I started thinking about absolute joke of a troll "fight" at the start of Rings of Power, and it's just depressing isn't it. We'll never EVER get something close to LOTRs level again.

I'll be forever grateful I grew up when these films were the hottest thing around in the cinema. Wouldn't trade those experiences for anything.

10/10

The heir apparent to Nicholas Cage
I enjoyed his latest film...

It's one for the Cage fans and it's something different.

Finally got around to watching Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, and, to be honest, enjoyed it more than I thought I would, even though it ran for nearly three hours.
Been on the verge of watching this one, but like you said: 3 hours! That's put me right off, and it's only Part one!

Seriously, have you lads noticed that 2-3 hours is becoming the norm for movies now? No more 90 minutes.

Off the top of my head: The new Avatar, James Bond, Indiana Jones, Batman, Matrix, Equaliser, John Wick, etc...

There was a time that I'd watch a couple of movies back to back, do that now and it could take up five to six hours of your day.

Yeah, the "Part One" thing was another reason I put off watching "Mission: Impossible" for so long.

Come and See.
This has been on my list of movies to watch for quite some time now but I have always avoided it due to the things I've read online. Not only is this a war movie but a horror as well. It's sickening to think what humans are capable of and this movie takes you right into the middle of it. A very tough watch, but I'm glad I finally did. Probably won't ever watch it again. Once is enough.

I thought MI was pretty average, but then I don't recall it being 3 hours long so it clearly wasn't that bad.

You watched that over... Christmas??
