Gladiator 2.
The first word that sprung to mind when leaving was “ disappointing “.
The opening hour is all over the place, Paul Mescal plays the lead as though he’s on stage and not film.
Even if you watched it, trying not to compare it to the original, it’s impossible, due to the frequent references to the original all the way through the film.
It’s not a bad film, just not as good as it could’ve been.
I was thinking this wasnt out to Dec. Apparently out on Nov 20th here.
So 6/10 for you? What would you give the original?
Where did you manage to stream it with subtitles? Or do you speak French? The Count of Monte Cristo (2024)
Excellent
I gave X-Men a go. Didn't realise it would be such a load of crap.
Sounds right up my alley.Things Will Be Different.
A brither and sister have robbed some money and lay low in an alternate dimension where time is effectively stopped. Interesting premise. Reading the plot I guessed that Benson and Moorhouse were somewhat involved even though they didn't direct. I liked the lead performances, particularly the girl who played Sid, but in the end, I just didn't understand it. I generally don't like time travel as a plot device unless it's a closed loop. I think this was supposed to be that, but it didn't stick the landing. It was alright, the director didn't need to explain everything, but felt he at least needed to explain more
This mate. Probably being a bit harsh calling it crap, I just expected it to be better than it was.Which?
