Last Film You Watched

That Bob Dylan film is pretty good, surprisingly well acted and of course the music if top notch.

If you do go and see it, make sure you hang around for the end credits scene. Roy Orbison walks into Bob’s office and says “I’m assembling a team”, he then throws photos of George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty onto his desk.

Deffo a franchise starting.

Waiting for that but not out until the 17th. You in the states?

Just seen Nosferatu. Reviews are a little bit over the top, quite a standard vampire flick in my opinion, but Robert Eggars does seem to be a bit of a critical darling.

Much preferred Francis Ford Coppola’s version of Dracula. (32 or 33 years old now that movie - where does the time go?)

It’s the usual Nolan head scratcher. It’s not a film you will ever watch over and over to enjoy, it makes you think. I enjoy that - but love to watch his films and not feel thick as mince.
Tenet is probably the Nolan film that I've watched most times. The whole backwards in time entropy stuff doesn't make a whole lot of actual sense but I just find it a really enjoyable watch.

Looks and sounds great, genuinely good set-pieces and the cast is terrific - even Branagh's slightly overcooked Russian Oligarch.

I just saw this yesterday and didn't stay until the end credits, oh well.

But as others have stated, the missus and I thought it was excellent. While I had my doubts on Chalomet, he really did pull off Dylan pretty well. And he did the singing as well

Kudos

I thought people were setting their standards too high. As it is basically a reimagining of a 1920s silent film, I think I got pretty much what I wanted from it, and it is so wonderful to look at. Beautiful movie!!. Coppola's Dracula is great though, you're right. I sense a double bill of those 2 at my place when I can nab Nosferatu on Blu Ray!
