Last Film You Watched

Had a watch of kick ass 2, not the best, shame cos i liked the first one. Hit girl is a delight though now shes grown up

Actually preferred this to the first one, wasn't a big fan of that. More of a Scott Pilgrim guy...

El Maquinista. Fantastic! Christian Bale is awesome in this movie.

Also known as The Machinist? Have this but not got round to watching it yet. Bale is proper gaunt in it tho isn't he?

Just took her to see The Inbetweeners 2 for her birthday.

We are both huge fans of the show, and the first movie.

It's weird though, seems like they've spent too long away and something felt missing.

Having said that, it still has some proper amazing laugh out loud moments and I'd recommend it to any fans of the show.

Saw this last night too. Was really funny in a 'all the basest tacky dirty jokes you can imagine' way :)

Just seen Inbetweeners 2. Won't spoil the plot, but here are my thoughts:

It's always rather telling when a film doesn't have a proper trailer, nor is it screened for the critics prior to its release. That's usually not a good thing/sign.

I thought the movie was very funny in places, and funny-ish in other places, but it was nowhere close to the first movie, and I'm a massive Inbetweeners fan, having previously seen everything, tv/movie wise.

It lacks the charm and relatability of the first film, and you need massive amounts of suspension of disbelief for a lot of what goes on. Instead of relating to them, you end up just laughing at them, the four complete morons who keep ending up in ridiculous situations.

There's an over-reliance on very cheap 'gross-out' humour, with copious amounts of poo/pee/vomit.

Jay is a great character and we all know what to expect from him, how he speaks, etc, but when he does it for the entire 100 minutes, it starts getting old around the 30 minute mark. You need a bit of light and shade.

Neil has all the best scenes/lines.

The writers also clearly did not have a clue how to end it, leading to a rushed and rather bizarre, random, far-fetched ending.

If you are a big Inbetweeners fan, I'd say go and see it, but don't have massive hopes for it. If you've never seen the Inbetweeners before, I'd either watch the 1st movie instead or simply not bother. I'd give it 3 out 5.

I bet there were a few LADBible melts at the cinema.

The Escape Plan. Was excited to watch Arnold and the one and only Sylvester Stallone in the same movie. Then I found out Sam m'f'ing Neill was in it as well. Glorious!

Yes the Machinist. Bale looks scary, very thin. Great film role, great acting. Must see mate :)
