Last Film You Watched

Beowulf, the animated, was on the telly the other day.
And my god is it horrible

It is amazing that film that was released, lets face it they have loads of Beowulf to compare it to and its by far the worst to have ever had money spent on it.

Seamus Heaney's is the best to listen to mind, Julian Glover's the best to actually see.

Sure, but I didn't enjoy it

I saw Oblivion recently.

Made for nice viewing, but the plot was pathetic.

Why would aliens go to all the trouble of cloning a pair of people repeatedly and placing them on Earth to live in unbelievable structures (a sky villa with a glass swimming pool, balanced on a mile-long needle) to monitor their power plants? Why not just do it themselves?

This weekend I have watched...

Starred Up 9/10 - Really good prison movie, best one since McVicar for me.

The Conjuring 7/10 - The paranormal interests me so enjoyed this supposed 'True Story'

The Call 6/10 - Decent enough, if not a new concept.

Just got 'The Raid: Redemption' and 'The Raid 2' this is today's viewing if I can be bothered watching 2 films.

Saw Dawn of The Apes last night, absolutely full of monkeys so I was happy. Story was fine, even though you pretty much knew where it was going within 1/2 an hour it was a good ride anyway, cast all fine, effects were very impressive, particularly the orang-utans and the broken down San Francisco.

Liked it a lot. 8 bananas out of 10.

JarHead 2: better than I thought it would be, given that it was straight to DVD.

Nothing like the first one, can't quite work out why it wasn't just treated as a stand-alone movie.
