Mesmerising!

Brilliant, glad you liked it, one of my favourite recent films. Very touching, you know what's coming at the end, brings back some sad memories. Being in the pitlane watching his emotions that weekend, you knew he was worried.

You know they found an Austrian flag in his car, all wrapped up. He intended on unfurling it when he finished the race as a tribute to Ratzenberger.

Watched Hostel last night.

Still enjoy it. And still would be the reason why I never go to Slovakia. Despite the fitties.

It's a good movie and I STILL wince at the bit with the ankle and the bit with the eye.

Senna is definitely in my top 5 films of 2011. I watched it at the cinema the weekend it came out and I was absolutely captivated from start to finish.

It was awesome. It was a completely different experience for me now. I watched the race when I was around 14 or 15. Totally different perspective now.

I never liked Prost, but man, he was a right ass!!!!

I was too young to witness Prost in his racing days but I never liked him when he had a team in F1. Nothing to do with him being French or anything like......

On a slightly different note, did you see "Grand Prix: The Killer Years", a BBC documentary that came out last year? I know it's difficult to watch stuff like that if you're not in the country.

It is ace. I have to say that Man On Wire is even better (not that that came out last year, it's just that I've watched both in the last week or so).

That's on my to watch list actually, cheers for reminding me. Daredevil or what!

Is it on the iPlayer? VPN........*whistles innocently

BOWFINGER - 9/10

Simple black comedy which takes the 'film within a film' genre and makes it it's own. I'd deffo go see Chubby Rain with Kit Ramsey. KINCAAAAAAID!!!!

THE JACKET - 6/10

Interesting, melancholy, slow in parts, but will have a few fans on here for sure. Basically a man who is shot in the Gulf War gets framed for murder. He ends up in a mental hospital subjected to a new form of therapy from a pay check hungry Kris Kristophersen. It involves pumping him full of drugs and shoving him in a morgue cupboard for a while to 'reflect'. This is where things get interesting/muddy and if you can get this far, you'll make it through the rest. It does prove one thing without doubt though, that Keira Knightly is possibly the worst actress to ever make millions of dollars.

MOON - 8/10

I'm loving the stuff from Duncan Hayward Jones at the moment. Or Zowie Bowie, however you may know him. His first film is tense, believable and it's a knockout performance from Sam Rockwell. he plays Sam Bell, a astronaut of sorts, who discovers something very strange while waiting for his three year stint as the Moon Harvesters lone operator to end. Seems we've found all the energy we'll ever need on the Moon, and it only takes one man to look after the operation. Good drama, excellent execution and crisp visuals. Check out 'Source Code' for his next sterling effort.

LAST NIGHT - 4/10

Deconstructing relationships and putting them to test is nothing new on film. Boy marries girl, girl thinks boy is cheating, boy has to go on a business trip with a sexy Eva Mendes while girl randomly runs into her ex froggy squeeze, who is smoother than Extra Premium Smooth Peanut butter. It's all very formulaic and Sam Worthington is like a square peg in a round hole. Keira Knightly, once again seems to fighting a war against her lips the entire film, constantly sucking on them, tugging them, making funny faces; it almost seems at one point during the film she breaks character and looks up to the Director for some input. Constantly walking around with no bra and tiny bee stings protruding, it could have been sexy if you didn't see all her ribs sticking out.

WARRIOR - 5/10

Lights, Camera, CUE the next two big stars on the Hollywood springboard, Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy. Stars are getting uglier, like they did in the 70's and Joel is no exception. Hardy, on the other hand is a real chameleon. He takes this role and De Niro's it. The only difference is that De Niro, back in the day, had the scripts to knock them out of the park. The script on Warrior makes Hardy look like a complete Ham. Hunching around, barely audible, me against the world, Hardy does his best, but the plot lets him down. It's weak. Predictable. Rubbish ending and Nolte doesn't deserve an Oscar, he deserves retiring.

THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME - 8/10

Quite simply what the title says. A little anime from Japan, we follow the story of a High School girl who mysteriously gets the power to jump through time. With her new ability to change the past and sing Karaoke all day, she soon realises there is something she needs to do, before her time runs out. Excellent story, good characters, it's a cracking tale for the Animation lovers in all of us.

IN BRUGES - 6/10
Doesn't really know what type of film it is.

KUNG FU PANDA 2 - 7/10
Not as good as the original but a fun film none the less.

CARS 2 - 6/10
A mis-step by the mighty Pixar here. More money maker than quality production.

MIDNIGHT IN PARIS - 8/10
Cool history lesson about a man caught in the headlights of mysterious Paris when the clock strikes 12.

MONEYBALL - 8/10
Excellent, a film Moyes needs to watch 17 times in a row.

SENSELESS - 8/10
Classic comedy, it still makes me laugh. Whatever happened to the rest of the Wayenses anyway?

HELLBOY 2 - 8/10
Bring on Hellboy 3! Love that guy.

HELLBOY 2 - 8/10

bit average - 6.5/10

Just watched ''once upon a time in America" and loved it once again. Leone was awesome. Got a hankering for 'good, bad, ugly' now. Erm, 9.3/10.

Looking for "The Confessions" (Japanese) next.
Someone watch 'Drive' ffs !
Steven Segal films on earlier, they are all the same, and all a bit naff - except under siege. 1/10. under siege - 6/10.

I didnt really get Drive. At the start i was expecting him to be all cool Steve Mcqueen dude, with lots of roaring engines and squealing tyres but instead he just sort of gives mono-syllabic answers and grins like a simpleton and there isnt much in the way of car chases or even cool cars either.

3/10
