Watched Godzilla (the new one) the other day. Thought it was better than the Matthew Broderick one from the 90's but not as good as the japanese originals.
Watched Lucy last night. It was a bit of a mess tbh, seemed like they spent all the money on Johansson, Freeman and fx and hardly anything on the script and plot. Scarlett Johansson's pretty fit though.
The bit where Godzilla breathes that blue fire stuff down the MUTO's throat was pretty awesome

Dark Shadows - Burton/Depp/Bonham Carter/Elfman... you know what you're in for, was OK, made me chuckle a few times.
Hotel Transylvania - surprisingly decent, don't understand why they have to end kids films with horrible autotuned high energy r&b tunes.
The Borderlands - another found footage, this one has very good performances and script.. so utterly fails as a convincing found footage flick. Bonkers ending though.
And several episodes of Walking Dead, Mrs d'indica rules the box over Halloween.

The secret life of Walter Mitty, considering it had Ben Stiller in it was alright.

The extended version of The Desolation of Smaug, I liked it, waited for it to come out rather than buying the cinema version, the extra 25 minutes definately improves the film imo unlike the first film's extended version which had an extra 13 mins which was mostly the Goblin king singing.

Liked the book, hated the film.
In A World.. - Very sharp, very funny story of a woman trying to break into voicing trailers. Written and directed by and starring Lake Bell, very leftfield and acerbic without being annoyingly 'kooky'. Well recommended.
Annabelle pretty much run of the mill horror, few bit that made you jump but nothing of note the Demon wasnt very scary.
I have to write an analysis of a film of my choice for a media module in my college course. I'm watching Alien for the second time in a couple of days and in no way is that depressing. Sigourney is such a champ.
