Last Film You Watched

Watched "Enemies of the People" last night, a documentary about the Khmer Rouge. An amazing film. The maker of the film, Thet Sambath, whose family were killed by the regime, spent years getting to know people who had committed atrocities in the name of the Khmer Rouge, and he manages to get Nuon Chea "Brother No. 2" to confess for the first time that he and Pol Pot were responsible for the killings. It's insightful, moving, and Sambath doesn't attack these people, his approach is that he just wants to document the truth from the people involved, so that Cambodians can move forwards and so that the next generation know what happened. His quiet dignity and search for justice but not retribution are incredible.

Can't recommend it enough.

I watched that new Three Musketeers movie.
Bit of a disappointment, really.
Guess I'm a bit fussy with movies, because I heard other people liked it.

Watch a film called 'Good' the other night. Viggo Mortenson plays a University teacher in Germany as the Nazis are coming to power. He doesn't want anything to do with the regime and his best friend is a Jewish psychologist. Interesting focus and very well produced, directed and acted from all involved. Thought it was a gem actually.

Saw it a few months ago. Very good film, I agree.

Watched it this week and I really liked it. Curious if you know much about baseball, and if not did it affect your enjoyment of the movie?

I know virtually nothing about Baseball, I'd say that collectively I've probably watched about an hour of it in my whole life. It didn't affect my enjoyment of it at all though. Sure, if you are a Baseball fan then I'd imagine you would enjoy it more but I really liked it. The concept of it was really quite interesting, and I love Jonah Hill.

8/10 for me.
