Watched this last night - The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

Story about the friendship between the son of a Concentration Camp Officer and a Jewish boy whose family who are imprisoned in the Camp. Its a very good film, despite some dodgy German accents, however I'd advise watching it by yourself as the ending will have tears streaming down your face its that horrendous. Incredibly powerful and moving film.

Electrick Children - About a Mormon who thinks music made her pregnant, pretty good and an easy watch, 7/10.

A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night - a Iranian film about a vampire who preys on lonely people in a place called Bad City, then falls in love with a lonely person. Looked brilliant and atmospheric but lacked a bit of substance at times. The cinematography makes up for that, though. 8/10

I'm no expert meself mate but have you seen "Headhunter"? Based on a Jo Nesbo book, but not one of his detective one, very dark comedy/thriller about a recruiter who funds his wife's extravagances by moonlighting as an art thief, then targets the wrong victim. Really recommend that one.

If you like Mads Mikkelsen, I thought Valhalla Rising was good, very surreal Viking movie, although its in English despite being directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive), brutal and very strange. I'll let you know if I come across any other good stuff.

Thought Valhalla rising was excellent. After the wedding is worth a watch. Flame and citron is ok. Pusher is ok too

Valhalla Rising should be the worst movie of all time. Nothing whatsoever happens in it and no one speaks.

We watched till the end waiting for something, anything to happen.

Why do you rate it?
I liked the strange tone and brutal nihilism of it and enjoy an abstract non-linear film now and then, the music and cinematography were excellent, it was unconventional and experimental film making and while I like a popcorn movie as much as the next man I like to see the art form being pushed, even if the results are challenging or less than wholly successful.

Also, I'm a bit of a connoisseur of bad movies, believe me mate, Valhalla Rising doesn't come close!
