Last night, myself and the girlfriend watched this:
I had been moaning to my friend that I hadn't seen a decent horror in years and he recommended this to me. It's ace. I'm a bit sick of films that just make you jump, but this one properly gets under your skin and makes you feel that slowly escalating sense of dread. Slightly disappointing in the final third. It gets intense, but I often feel horror movies get slightly spoiled by the reveal. That being said, I liked the actual ending of the film and I thought about it a lot before I went to sleep. 4.5 disturbed children out of 5.[/QUOTE
Sounds very similar to the film - Sinister. Which I highly recommend if you haven't seen it. Similar vein in that it's a really slow build up involving kids as the target. It's very dsiturbing rather than gory and Ethan Hawke is excellent in the lead.
