Last Film You Watched

V for Vendetta last night, seen it before but good for a reboot.

I can't stand any mutant online or at a protest who wears one of them masks, but the movie certainly is a foretelling of things to come should the UKIP get more power in the UK.

Mr Holmes - different slant on Sherlock Holmes.

Ian McKellen, plays an elderly Sherlock Holmes in self imposed exile in rural Kent, struggling with old age and early stages of senility. Trying to piece together memories of his last case, which drove him to exile .

Impeccable acting from Ian McKellen, albeit a very slow film and a real " thinking " film.

Got to be an Oscar for McKellen.

Edward Scissorhands - Somehow the first time i've seen it, i've always passed it off a 'another Tim Burton/Depp film', but since it was the first, that was incorrect. Not a massive Tim Burton fan but between this and Big Fish, he does have a kind of surrealism I do like.

Really liked the the majority of it, had a nice (somewhat) toned down Lynchian vibe. last half an hour went a bit Hollywood but kind of expected it, i was just happy it didn't go too Hollywood before hand. Nice to remember Depp can act, too.

American Pie (1998 or 99 depending who you beleive)

Honestly loved this back in the day. Came out when I was at uni, and was the ideal student flick.

Sadly, have to say not aged too well. The shick comedy moments feel like they've been outshocked since, even in the sequels.

It's not bad still. Just not as great as I remember.

Extra point for the Blink182 cameo.
