Last Film You Watched

Tried to watch a film called The Backwoods tonight. Paddy Considine and Gary Oldman, should've been pretty good. I managed 40 mins. Utter crap, with dreadfully wooden performances from both leads. Avoid.

Anyway, all these serious I films...

The last two I've watched:

Team America: World Police (2004)

Still amazing. Simple. A bit generic. Bloody hilarious.

The sex scene is still roll on floor funny.

4 Championship Belts out of 5

And

Cool Runnings (1993)

One of my all time faves.

Cliche driven sports movie based on true events. I'm sure we've all seen it.

I think it will age well as its based on true events (ish) and was still a good fun watch.

SANKA....YOU DEAD?

Yeah man.

Saw this last night. Set in Stalins Russia, Tom Hardy plays a member of the Russian Secret Police who realises that a serial killer is murdering young boys in around railway stations. Unfortunately Stalin has declared that serial killers dont exist in Russia ( he really did ) and Hardy is exiled for ignoring the party line.

Superbly acted, relentlessly bleak and is a very good film with a stella cast. Let down by the dreadful Russian accents .

8 Red Strars out of 10.

Hmmm....Sounds suspiciously like a remake of Citizen X.....Also a v.good flick

I know where you're coming from mate, but this film is based on the hunt for a real serial killer that was picking off kids around Russian railway stations .

So is Citizen X. It's about Chikatilo the notorious serial killer. Only watched it once in about 1997/8. It was perhaps my fave film of that year.

Watch it ('X') if you get a chance and tell me if they're similar enough to be the same thing.

I'm off to download both if I can find them........
