Ant man = phenomenal.

Best film I,ve seen this year.

Don't be put off by the stupid title. It's witty, intelligent and well cast. Tips a nod to many other Super Hero films.

Co written by English comedian Joe Cornish.

Quite heavy on tech detail, so not really a film for kids as they'd find it a bit slow.

9.5 Ants out 10.

Hitchcock's The Birds.

Loved it at first watch 20 year ago...but my memory seemed to think it was a pure horror film of birds attacking people. Watching it again reveals it's a cheesy love story with the odd bird attack symbolising the mother's fear of losing her son to this random blonde.

Clever idea to be fair, and the film is still quite good, especially the bird scenes...but the first hour is a struggle. 7/10 (down from a perceived 9/10).


...got me thinking that Psycho is probably less a tale of a mad serial killer and more a symbolic story of a son pining for his mother's companionship. Not sure if I wanna rewatch that now.

Was the 'other' 80s vampire flick, loads of the Aliens lot playing the vampire gang, excellent Tangerine Dream soundtrack. Good film.

Will have just finished watching twelve monkeys in 25 minutes. Great film, my favourite Bruce Willis film infact.
