Last Film You Watched

Watched Inglourious Basterds last night. Love it! All the acting is great.

Tonight im watching Thirteen Days - as a i have a coursework based on it (i do maths could you believe) so hopefully that should be good.

Ok so watched this - really interesting film - loved it! So interesting to know how close we were to another war...

Anyway now to start work on a 5000 word essay on the risks involved - yayyy

Harry Potter - Prisoner of Askaban

The third in my Harry P fest. Bit darker and a bit scarier. Gary Oldman is ace in it.

Looking forward to the next one.

I'm suprised how much I'm enjoying these films.

i love harry potter films too..... im trying to find time to watch the 2 deathly hallows ones now, got all the others saved on my sky+ box.

I'm now up to Harry Potter 5 - Order of the Phoenix.

Good one that. In fact they've all been good.

Not sure if I preffered it when it was more fun. They are getting all serious and dark now.

On a side note, my brain can cope with the fact that Sirius Black and Comissioner Gordon are the same person.

I watched Order of The Phoenix in the cinema. That battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort in the Ministry is stunning on the big screen

A few I've watched and enjoyed recently...

Safe House
Cowboys and Aliens
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
Napoleon Dynamite
Defiance
The Adjustment Bureau
Paul

And some I wasn't so keen on..

The Descendants (not enough explosions)
Johnny English Reborn
Horrible Bosses

And a couple that I saw at the cinema but were so brilliant I've picked them up on dvd to watch again...

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Senna

You enjoyed Cowboys and Aliens?!

Yep thought it was a fun film. Obviously completely ridiculous but then didn't expect anything particularly moving or emotional from something called 'Cowboys and Aliens'... You have to understand ijjy that a film with good explosions, Olivia Wilde and Daniel Craig being a badass cowboy is going to be something I can get involved with :P

The Godfather.

Good, but damn is this film overated or what? It often gets talked about as one of the best films of all time but having watched Goodfellas and Scarface lately they are both superior.

What am i missing?

And don't get me started on Marlon Brando's performance. Sure he was alright but only seemed to be in half the film and then didn't really have to do much.

You had a point, up to mentioning 'Scarface'.
Brando is fantastic as the tortured Don on the cusp of a new era.
'Goodfellas' is a fine shout.

So where do you stand on 'citizen cane', 'casablanca', 'raging bull', 'godfather II' ?

This.
'Miller's Crossing' was one of my fave Gangster films too.
