Last Film You Watched

Interstellar

One of the most insane film I've seen in my life. Still trying to wrap my head around it. I'm lost for words. I never thought I'd find a Christopher Nolan film that's better than The Prestige, but I guess I was wrong.

10/10

If you've seen kung fu hustle and/or shaolin soccer (which you should do) one of Stephen chows other films is on youtube in full. Gonna watch it later.

I can't believe I missed this first time around - on Film4 last night, so will be repeated.

Karl Urban superb is Judge Dredd and follows his character to the letter, unlike the earlier one with Stallone.

The diminutive and beautiful Olivia Thrilby plays rookie Judge Anderson.

If you like the classic - Assault on Precinct 13, you'll love this.

Non stop brutal action, terrific special effects and set.

The only minus is that the British actress - Lena Headey ( Game of Thrones ) doesn't really cut it at as the baddie.

Dredd 2 out later this year .

Mad one, watched this last night mate!
Thought they did a really great job after that dire Stallone version. Disagree over Lena Headey though, thought she was great.
Didn't know a sequel was due, ace.

Apparently they're still fighting over it, as it didn't do too well at the box office. The studio wants to mix it up and make it more appealing to non Dredd fans, which would appear to be the sticking point.

Tbh - there's so much material with Dredd, that you could do so many films

The last film was a struggle. I know Geoff from Portishead, him and another guy were contracted to do the score originally but the producers weren't happy with the first cut (and the music) so they made big changes and dropped Geoff's score sadly.
Well worth a listen, very John Carpenter-esqe :
