Last Film You Watched

I watched this and really enjoyed it. If one thing I could say didn't quite add up was the fact the actors didn't lose any weight although starving, i expected them to look a bit more emaciated i.e christian bale in the machinist. attention to detail and all that. otherwise decent film and true.

Just finally finished watching all the Harry Potter's.

I watched them all even though I'm not into fantasy/the books. I still enjoyed them. I think they are very well made. You can really lose yourself to the story. PS Ijjy, you should buy the first Chromatics album and listen to it on the way to work while chewing on your tooth picks.

Watched ' Zoolander' last night,,, still funny every time I watch it.

I watched this on a long-haul flight recently and I think I kept the entire plane up with my laughter. Seen it a gazillion times before but not for a while. I still knew when the jokes were coming but they were still fresh. "....God?"

Clearly it is a prequel, however there will be more films that bridge the gap between the end of this and the first film. As for the characters - the films are called Alien..., not Ripley etc etc... Sorry to go all Damon on you..

Spoilers:

-Different aliens
-Different characters
-Different planet
-Different storyline set 250 YEARS before the first Alien film

It's simply not a prequel at all. By that logic The Patriot starring Mel Gibson is a prequel to J.Edgar starring Leo DiCaprio.

was listening to kermode on 5live film reviews and they had an interview with Ridley Scott who basically saidf what Brennan said it is set in the same universe but is NOT a prequel. not seen it yet mind.

I finally got to see The Avengers this weekend.

Splendid work. Finally get to see Mark Millar's Ultimates series reimaging in the flesh, given that he effectively cast Samuel L Jackson and Robert Downey Jr in his comic series 10 years ago it's great for a fan boy to see it played out. Wheedon's direction managed to not to retract at all from any of the four leads and I thought Tom Hiddleston's perfomance was standout.

Smashing stuff and one I was convinced I was going to be disappointed by.

bit of a weird on to see tonight.......
