That's what happens when you watch porn all day ffs
Watched "Blue Valentine" this week. Thought about slitting my wrists and then remembered I'm not married and carried on with my awesome life.
aceTwo sisters find their already strained relationship challenged as a mysterious new planet threatens to collide with the Earth.
its got a lot of good reviews.
Watched 'Shutter Island' last night. I liked it.
Watched that last night. Took me long enough to get around to it.
It was really good, yeah.
GIGANTIC RAGING SPOILERS
I love a good twist but I think the last line at the end was great, adding another mini-twist. Clearly he wasn't insane at that point and decided he'd rather be a vegetable than live with the guilt and memories.
No it's not !
Same universe but a completely different set of characters with a story which doesn't actually intersect with the main Alien story in any way. Were it not for the fact that some of the monsters look similar it could easily pass as a totally different series. Saying Prometheus is a prequel to Alien is like saying Iron Man is a prequel to the Avengers because they're set in the same universe.
I just got back from watching it, and it was brilliant. Thoroughly recommend people go and see it.
Good stuff. I've read reviews and they have not been very generous.
I'm not sure how they managed to not make it a prequel to Alien considering it is the same director and has the space jockey.
I'll wait until I see it so I can actually join this discussion.
A prequel is a literary, dramatic, or filmic work whose story precedes that of a previous work,[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP] by focusing on events that occur before the original narrative.[SUP][3][/SUP] If Y is a prequel to X, then Y's storyline precedes X's, yet Y is released at a later date than X. Therefore, a prequel is a work that forms part of a back-story to the preceding work. Like sequels, prequels may or may not concern the same plot as the work from which they are derived. Often, they explain the background which led to the events in the original, but sometimes the connections are not as explicit
