Last post: fan protests won't help the club you support

You can support the team and manager yet still protest the board and owner. They aren’t mutually exclusive.

100%.

I have never understood the happy clappers, getting battered at the weekend and showing not heart but still delighted. Clapping bill when he's on the telly, and these people who made the largest chant of the season when the 27 campaigners walked out.

We have a right as paying customers to show our displeasure with what's going on, if the players on the pitch aren't doing their job, they should be told. We support the team, but the team need to give us something to get behind, they dont do this.

The board are awful, and they deserve everything they get now, no sympathy.

Yet there will still be some who clap bill when he hits the big screen.

Its embarrassing now.

Our club is being systematically destroyed, it’s not hyperbole there is a real chance that due to the behaviour of the individuals in charge it may not exist in its current form in a decade . There is even a better chance that these upcoming games will be our last at top flight for a decade or more and yet we’re told to shut our mouths and clap as we suffer .

The fact we’re being identified as the cause of a problem that they’ve created and at least some of them enriched themselves from whilst most of us have spent hard earned cash to watch players underperforming and have scorn poured on us from opposing fans as they stroll to a win or match to another trophy is frankly a little bit sickening.

You either fight against it or you’re part of the problem and when the club is languishing, when we’re a national figure of fun , when kids footy teams in this city are 99% RS well frankly it’s on you just as much as those on the board .

I’ll be supporting dyche and I hope he drags us out of this mess , he’ll be a legend if he can manage it . I honestly feel the fans might deserve it but that board certainly don’t .

I'm all for protesting against this lot, but I'm a bit scared someone will take it a bit too far and lamp Kenwright or Moshiri live on TV, something like that would be disastrous for our cause.
How about total silence at Goodison when they come out and are warming up, turn your back on them, I guarantee if done right it would make every news channel here and abroad.
It wouldn't give this shower any excuse to say that feel in danger from us.
Don't know about you, but I'm really cheesed off with reading in the press that it's our fault because we are toxic.
Don't shoot me, just a different idea, as the press are already demonizing us.

The board would have to have some balls turning up at the Arsenal game mate, especially after a no show against Southampton because they feared for their safety. At the end of the day the board can't show their ugly mugs at Goodison ever again.

This is the last time I'll post as I believe this is a lost cause

But, I do care about the club a lot and so will say for a final time - creating a toxic culture at the club and demanding too much will obviously put fear into players and management which will impact performances, helping create the downward spiral that we've now seen - ultimately resulting in people not wanting to join the club

Yes, allowing Gordon and Rondon to leave and not replacing them when we urgently needed attacking players appears to have not been good management. I suspect it wasn't for lack of trying to get new players. They should probably have held off on the exits until replacements were lined up, if financially possible

BUT, the squad we have is still better than some are saying. The best chance the club has now is for the fanbase to rally behind Dyche and the players

If not, the fans will be helping the club they spend a lot of time supporting to go down. And that will then mean then supporting a team in the Championship. And if the negativity continues, the fans might help the club plummet down the leagues. You'd think actually people having that effect might be better doing something else with their time

Ultimately, personally I think Moshiri should sell to a new owner who can revatilise things. And the fan problem will only be sorted if it is somehow directly tackled. It seems many have a fixed mindset though, which is not unusual (think Trump America etc), which may not be possible to change - it's unfortunate but the reality

I wish you all the best!

Barry Horne

When is the ghost of Dixie Dean posting to back the club?
