I don't think it really needs translating, as it's clear for all to see, but the date of the post may or may not be of interest, as it was probably a kneejerk response to what most probably was a poor performance. Obviously if the statement was made right now it would be ludicrous.
Way to take the wind out of my sails Dy ffs.

It was posted at the end of May. Season finished.

If its that easy then why hasn't Bill Kenwright, Robert Earle and John Woods done it in 15 years?

For the same reason they haven't floated a company on the NYSE to do it. It needs to be underwritten, and they aren't (or aren't willing to be) liquid enough to do that, I assume. I don't have an in to their thinking though.

You're just pounding him like Ivan Drago did to Apollo Creed here mate.

So how will these two new owners underwrite it?

That is key and without giving equity away I do not think they have enough personal equity to do so. That means they need another type of vehicle. Private equity.

They can get public investors into their consortium.

Get a builder?

Sorry. Look you can buy the club via an NYSE quoted company, and if they have one already with similar type assets, it may make some sense. But if all you are doing is creating a vehicle to funnel finance into property investment to build a stadium, there are a lot better ways of doing it, one of which is a REIT. A UK or Irish quoted company would also do the job. And all of that is assuming you want to keep the Stadium as a separately financed setup. Ultimately 3-400m is not a lot of investment vehicle.

Because the figures don't add up.

A new stadium without subsidy from a public or quasi-public entity makes no sense at all. That's the problem we've faced for years. Everton in the past, now, or under new ownership cannot create an investment return from a new stadium without someone else footing a significant part of the bill.

The City Council can't - they want a contribution, not to provide one, and there's no third party to provide it.

As a stand alone investment, a new stadium does not work. As part of an adequately capitalised Everton FC with strong commercial and sponsorship revenues it makes sense, but it needs a contribution from somewhere, otherwise it won't happen.

Thats the problem though Esk.

Without the stadium that capitalisation will not come as the strong commercial and sponsorship won't come either. As they will want the stadium in place to go with it.

Anyway, what's all this about the Chinese? I personally think that it sounds like a bit of press release to the Chinese community saying "Yo, if you want a piece of this then you best move now, because we are due to sell it to a gang of yanks very soon". I would prefer a Chinese interest, but I'm not convinced that the interest is there, and I think the US deal is more likely to go through.

I would prefer the Chinese because they're a great bunch of lads.

I was under the impression that the Chinese takeover rumours were unfounded?
