How do you mean?Bit of backtracking and arse-saving going on there by the looks
I dont see any backtracking really, just a reporter who is getting brassed off getting bombarded with questions daily from EvertoniansBit of backtracking and arse-saving going on there by the looks
How do you mean?
He almost made me think it was already done when he first made the story, well that's how I read at the time. Now he's saying it's alive but nothing more. Seemed like backtracking and covering to me but could be reading it wrong.
|Sometimes we over complicate things. \the most important quote from the 'update' is:He almost made me think it was already done when he first made the story, well that's how I read at the time. Now he's saying it's alive but nothing more. Seemed like backtracking and covering to me but could be reading it wrong.
Not really, if you look at the article again (http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/public/football/article4648207.ece) he says the Americans are starting due dilligence which will finish at the end of January, at which point they'll decide whether to push on with the deal. In this update he says DD is over and they'll be going in for another round of talks with the deal still looking likely. He almost made me think it was already done when he first made the story, well that's how I read at the time. Now he's saying it's alive but nothing more. Seemed like backtracking and covering to me but could be reading it wrong.
