I wasnt saying they will go all Vincent Tan, as you say, they wouldnt get away with it, I just think its naive to think they will give 1 jot about the club, for them its a business first, football club second.

Agree it's business first, but the core business of Everton Football Club heavily involves (there's a hint in the name) Everton Football Club. Would be deleterious to the profitability to destroy the underlying business. Surely there's some fat-pocketed hanks somewhere who don't understand this, but I'm not going to assume every potential takeover group is so clueless.

deleterious

Hate it when I have to google words.

Absolutely correct, good business acumen would bring huge benefits.

Good business acumen will only bring huge benefits from a supporter's perspective if we assume they have an interest in investing the proceeds back in the playing squad. but I'm not sure what grounds there are for assuming this. business acumen = minimizing expenses (ie wages) and maximizing revenue, which could easily result in player sales and "morally objectionable" ticket price hikes like across the park. Why is it suddenly so appealing that the Americans might be able to profit from us when the main objection/accusation hurled at Kenwright is that he seeks to do the same? These Americans do not seem at all likely to regard us as a billionaires' version of FIFA/FM, like the Man City group, which so many of us seem to so desperately want. They are buying us to make money from us, and it's worth being realistic about what that might mean.

Well, the proposed Yankee takeover is a right gallimaufry IMO
