I respect Kenwright but Im 100% ok with this if it goes ahead. End to the stagnation.

Its what we all want mate. End to the stagnation.

On BK, I think its fairly obvious he got into bed (probably naively all those years ago..thought he was doing the best at the time etc) with slippery eels and seemingly cant get out of it. Without a massive return on investment. Which this will give.

Rough figures here but...

We are likely to enjoy over £1.5 billion in revenue over the next 10 years from TV alone. The foreign tv deal is being negotiated; talk is this could get to 7.5-10 billion (this on top of the SKY/BT deal which I think is approx £6bn).

I think two/three hundered million (for stadium) could be secured rather comfortably, maybe backed up by better capital arrangements seemingly in place with a wealthier board.

As far as we go as an investment opportunity, the only way is up. We're probably the most attractive option in the Prem right now that hasn't already been snapped up.

Just imagine spending £30m-£40m on players per summer without having to sell, huge improvement on what we've been used to for the past however long...

Sadly its taken somebodys bad health to prompt such action.

Yep.

I also think the WHP/LCC situation is bringing it home to the owners that there's just no forward movement anymore to be had. In the past they at least had the possibility of getting another scheme together so they could sell up on the back of it. No one trusts this lot though. They've burned every bridge they've had with the local authorities and they're obviously seeing that and the chance to get out with a big drink from it all on the strength of the new tv deal adding loads to revenue.

I'd be glad to see the back of them. They've been a disaster. Although I still wouldn't trust this lot linked with a takeover.
