Im happy whoever we get. Investing in the clubs infrastructure either way is a good sign!

....I suppose much depends on the funding route for that investment and whether the club will be in hoc to repay massive loans. We might not see any difference in transfer monies available, continuation of a hand to mouth existence on the pitch. We'll soon find out.

Fulham were crap before the half season Khan owned them in which they were relegated. Sunderland likewise should be content to yo-yo, or do you disagree?

sunderland spend a fortune on mediocre players and have sacked the manager about twice a season for years. fulham could easily drop to league one this season. if everton are to be run like that, i would consider it a failure.

not that it follows that this will happen just because the new owners are american, but the new ownership=we'll be the next man city idea is pretty flimsy, and the risk of any ownership screwing up badly is significant

I wouldnt see the Glaziers as failures. They hired one of the most 'promising' managers with Moyes and then hired one of the most successful managers of modern times while giving them a shedload of cash to spend and raking in a shedload of cash.

As a snapshot post Ferguson, (who they inherited), and using him as a yardstick, they have been an epic fail since.

Good kit deals mind.

Clap clap

The Glazers - borrowed US $ 525 million on an acquisition costing US $ 790 million.

Despite paying over US $ 700 million in interest and management fees they still have debts over US $ 400 million.

David Gill put together all the enormous sponsorship deals not the Glazers.

How much more successful would United have been if they hadn't had to spend US $ 700 million on financing costs?

How much is this consortium worth are they billionaires or just lowly millionaires ha ha.

I just don't want someone to come in and take more out than they invest. For example every 100 million they will take 40 million on say a 5 year business plan until they get a return on investment.

So they have paid £700m on paying off £125m? edit. Effectively.

But in dollars.

Blimey. That Moyes Charity Shield must be a cold comfort.
