At the expense of funding for the team? That's my priority at this point. Everything is wrong with that if that is what happens.

Who knows what their plans are... The only thing we can hope is that Kenwright has kept his promise and looked out for the best interest for the club moving forward after he is gone.

If he has, then i have no fear for the club - they could come in put sponsorship deals in place that blow out everything we have done before, build a new stadium and keep money going into the playing side to progress us year on year.

If he hasn't, and he has looked after numero uno, then god knows what the future holds.

I don't think the people coming in are soft though mate, i would hazard a guess they would have a a plan to improve their investment anyway possible for a future sale. Business men and all that, didn't he buy the padres for 80 mil, then sold them for 800 mil?

right now everything is conjecture and opinion on what they are going to do, if successful. All we can do is hope the current custodians have done everything they can to make sure everything is right for us moving forward.

People doing the whole US sport comparison. Don't realise the ease, in baseball you can have if you splash a little bit of money. An extra $50m a year in wages means you can win the lot, and everything can be circumstantial due to trades and talent in their farm system.
I believe they're here to do the same thing they did to the Padres, asset build, whilst maintaining a profit. I'll be very surprised if a new site for a stadium doesn't show up... Well providing elstone is swerved off.

The one thing we have that villa never, is a good squad from the start. We don't need £150m investing in our squad. Maybe £50m!

Its been great times, remember when we didn't sign a senior squad player for two years.

And yet somehow we've managed to steer our way through those troubled times, skirted with other troubled times, remained competitive, and retained if not actually grown the fan base - it's a mystery really how the footballing world works at times.

I'm neither a Kenwright lover or hater, however, I do respect his passion for the club and I am hopeful that whilst he's not currently enjoying the best of health, that he's not letting that overly influence or drive these negotiations towards a 'quick conclusion'.

I think or at least I'd expect him not to want to be seen or remembered as the man who spoke from the heart so many times and so well about Everton, but oversaw the selling of the club down the river.

Until the takeover in whatever format it takes is finalised, there is little the average supporter can do. By all means reserve judgement, but let's try and be objective about the potential of a new era. I'd be absolutely amazed and incredulous if BK hasn't stressed the meaning of our club motto to the potential new owners and I'm sure as sh1t that he'll have had them look at the antics of those across the park towards their previous and current American ownership.

With two Chinese buyers reported to be interested too, I hope Bill is listening to all parties, these Chinese are mad for football and they'll be desperate to make their mark on the world football stage that is the Premiership.

Chinese Billionaires will be the next ones to act like the Arabs in the Prem, first chance they get.
