I don't know enough yet about Moores, but watching how things have gone at Anfield and Old Trafford I'm not jumping for joy and though a personal fortune of $500m is rather a lot of money, it doesn't stand up against the likes of Ambramovich. I guess the reality is that Bill is unwell and needs to move the club on, my take on things is that Bill's health is driving this deal and fair play to him for that, I wish him well. I would be interested to know who the Chinese buyers are, if they exist at all.

People shouldn't judge these fellas purely based on them sharing a nationality with Henry & Glazier.

Everton are a totally different club than LFC & Utd. LFC & Utd had/have lots of revenue streams that could be used to leverage debt against.

Everton don't have that and all the clubs assets have already been mortgaged against. Unlike LFC & Utd, Everton REQUIRE INVESTMENT, there is very little money to siphon off.

It's the same thing with people automatically thinking our ticket prices will rise with new owners - these other clubs have waiting lists & massive demand. We don't have a ST waiting list and the make up of our fanbase is vastly different, far more local and economically challenged, even more so than LFC. Plus we haven't won a trophy in 21 years - if they tried to charge £77 for a seat in Upper Bullens that seat would remain empty.

Why does it have to be about pumping loads of money into the Club though? They could come in with a plan/vision and improve us, it may take longer than it would if millions upon millions were pumped into the Club but if we can progress and make improvements year on year then we'll be sound. They could ultimately make us more attractive to someone like that whilst still making themselves a decent chunk of money.

Getting rid of Kitbag would be a good start .

Americans buying English clubs makes me nervous.

I'd prefer the oil money from the East.

Why?

Lerner was pumping all kinds of money into Villa, it was only when he realised the managers he employed were spending it on utter shabite that he stopped.

Hicks & Gillette gave Benitez a ridiculous amount of money.

FSG, whilst they have the wrong attitude to really succeed in the PL (moneyball), they're improving Liverpool and putting a lot of their own money into the Club.

Pretty sure Sunderlands owner is American and he's done nothing but give his managers a load of money to spunk on gash.
