Would be interesting to see whether they buy Finch Farm so you know, Everton Football Club actually own their training ground.

Be interesting to see what they do with the Academy, will they want to do something similar to Man City with their facilities etc

If they're coming in to grow their investment by improving commercial/retail performance or, ideally, building a decent stadium, then great. They'll have earned their eventual profit.

However, I can't help but fear that, in true 'Everton that' fashion, Kenwright has waited until there's finally enough TV money to be able to buy players without a rich owner, and then gone and sold us to a Glazer.

Awful for Everton, ha. Go and tell the villa fans he's been awful for Everton, see their take on it

So, let me get this straight. Kenwright has done a good job at EFC because person X has done even worse at club Y? Sorry, I don't get that. If your centre forward is rubbish, you don't say "Tell you what though, so and so at such a club is even worse" Why do it regarding the chairman? I make my mind up on Blue Gravel Bill in the context of EFC only. No trophies in a quarter of a century and sold off all our assets including the training ground. Hope he is careful who he sells us to, otherwise his legacy will be even more shameful.

We don't know the price, we don't know the buyers(or not all of them) and we don't know the terms of the deal....so why get worried now..save that for later.

However, the one thing that Bill Kenwright has been in his time as chairman is inventive and clever. It is now common practice to loan a player with the option to buy but it was Bill Kenwright and David Moyes who really first exploited that market.
It would not surprise me to see some carrots thrown into this deal to encourage the new owners to try to grow EvertonFC rather than exploit it.
Bill Kenwright is an Evertonian. He has been going to Goodison since long before some of his critics on this forum and others were even born.

He is not a young man anymore and certainly it appears that he has health issues as well(hopefully issues that are not insurmountable). In circumstances such as these it is very often the legacy that is more important than the money. As football chairmen go Bill is a pauper but the reality is that he is an extremely successful wealthy man. If he is unwell and facing an uncertain future then his legacy imo opinon will be worth more to him than any money he gets from a deal and goodness knows he will get plenty of that anyway.

Leeds fans would kill for a Randy Lerner at their club. And so on...

There's always people worse off than you - that shouldn't be used to excuse poor performance of your own current owners.

I for one really like bill shame he wasnt loaded i do think he has the right intentions for the club, i think a takeover a new stadium and a few more players could be the making of us, everyones been crying for a takeover for years, soon as we get one we pick holes in it, i am certain bill wouldnt sell unless he was sure these people are right, i may be mad but i have faith in bill:drunk:
I agree with you "the evil that men do lives on after then, the good is oft interred with their bones"
For me, Kenwright is a true Evertonian and has brought us through dire straights and given a platform for the future sure he has made some mistakes but the balance is in his favour if he his unwell I hope he soon recovers.
He will, in the end, try to do his best for the club, of that, I feel confident.

There are so many questions that are left to be answered, that I haven't actually got a clue really.

Whilst I'd like to think I know what I want, the reality is, me and many other blues are building their opinion based on what others are telling them, which in many cases is often slightly further from the truth than we'd like, for example the "he took over the Padres, and then gave them the worst payroll in baseball..."
That is true, but what is failed to be picked up on, is that it was for one season, and the rest they were in the top third and consistently achieving playoffs.

There is no doubt in my mind that they are in it, for the money, but they are businessmen for a reason and they make their money by being ruthless where it matters. They know Everton will be sold for a greater amount with a stadium, and all the assets belonging to them, if they can buy back the catering, and finch farm etc..: then we are fully on our way to being stable, and they'll win the fans over easily. Should we now be able to push through a deal for Walton hall park, then they'll have achieved their goals instantly and if get sold to super obsessed Chinese billionaires shortly after and can compete for leagues, I'm all for it.

But then, I could be completely wrong and they could, like most us owners ruin the club, however if kopites start complaining, about FSG to me one more time, despite investing bucket loads, and our owners can at least offer a fraction of that money, im happy.

However, I do fear, in Kenwrights sickness, he is just trying to shift the club before he dies, if that is the case, I'd be very, very concerned.

I dont mind Bill, he's just badly out of his depth running a Football Club.

But nobody made him become chairman. He didn't just wake up one morning and think "Christ, I'm in charge of Everton FC. How did that happen?" If he wasn't up to it or couldn't afford to do it, he should have left well alone.
