I think people go a bit overboard on how bad our current board our. We could very easily be asset stripped and end up in the championship. The current board aren't great but trust me, they could be much worse

If you want to make money I'm pritty sure the first rule is Don't buy a football team. They are not going to buy us sell the best players off and then sell us.
I'm sure there are a lot better ways to make 50mil quickly then buying a football team with a lot less stress.

From what I've read they see a poorly run business, buy it and turn it in to profit then sell it, seem like they will do that with Everton, improve commercial revenue by probably 20-30 mil a year by getting better kit deals and sponcorship, buy back FF and move to a new stadium. If they go with what they did with SD then LCC might go for it as they need to improve many areas of Liverpool. Edge Lane would be perfect for a stadium plus a new retail park and easy access.

Improving GP is a waste of time effort and money unless you rebuild from scratch. The ground a mess, complete shed, the loss of revenue as they rebuild parts of the ground wouldn't make it worth while, plus you need to buy houses/shops/school and that isn't going to happen over night, took RS 10 years to buy all the houses they need. In Wavertree took 7 years to buy 3 streets and they were compulsory sales.

Could spend 3-4 years in court battles. A new ground is the only way forward

If you want a chairman/owner that goes to nearly every game then you need to keep Bill Kenwright...who is a fan.

The football club will be an investment for most other owners, they will turn up at times to see how things are progressing or at cup finals if we are lucky enough to get to one, apart from that they will get information from those they entrust to run the club.

I would not be surprised if Bill Kenwright is left in some form of honorary position under the new regime..health permitting.

So...what 'assets' have been stripped at to whose benefit? And please, for starters, don't include 'They sold Finch Farm' in your list, because sale and lease back is a legitimate business move to release cash for current use. Next ?

In terms on new owners coming in and what might be the order of their priorities, I'd guess the following would be the best use of time, resources and capital:

(i)Agree transfer and wage budgets with Roberto Martinez for the summer and season 2016/17.
(ii) clear existing debt
(iii) Improve the executive management team with the focus being on revenue generation through sponsorship, commercial contracts and retail activities. Provide the necessary working capital to fund these programmes.
(iv) Agree a solution to the stadium issue, ie redevelopment or new stadium. Fund and execute solution.

Got to say, this thread has made me feel like we are on the "apprentice" and I am surprised how many international business heads we have within our supporters.

Up to now everything is based on assumptions, if someone can share with us all any facts, i for one would be really appreciative.....
