Hi dave, I put an edit onto this post but it seems to have got lost.

Let me be clear I have voted against the takeover, not sitting on any fence. From what I have read I do not trust this consortium they appear to be a bunch of carpet baggers who have no real interest in our club. They are looking to buy cheap, give it a few years and sell on for 500mill thus making a nice little earner for them but that is my opinion each to his own view point.

But really what can the fans do, nothing it seems to me. They cannot stop BK and his ilk from gabbing a very nice gold pot which far exceeds the original share purchase price. I do not like what BK etc have done but I am wary of a bunch of no mark Yanks.

BTW who are the other interested parties you mention, any names?

As far as I know, we've only got the names of two members of the consortium, one of who improved the business position of the San Diego Padres over many years, until he was distracted by a very messy divorce. So to dismiss this consortium out of hand on the flimsy 'evidence'of a few fans is a very presumptious. Its a bit like believing out of hand what someone you don't know tells you down the pub. Lets wait and see...its all that can be done at present.

If there was no investment at all and all they did was ran the club properly it would be a massive improvement on what we have now.

I've said it a millions of times as have others but I don't think people really understand how bad the crowd are who are in charge now.

Are they really that bad thou? Yeah they are not perfect and have made some terrible mistakes, but we have to be very careful what we wish for on this.
Might sound a bit pessimistic but we can do a lot worse, we are stable at the moment, some just want to take it for granted that if we sell we will auotmaticaly improve, just like some think if Kings Dock had come off there would be no other outcome than us sitting in Man City's shoes right now. We can speculate on what might happen with these yanks, just like we can with what might of happened with he Dock, but nothing is certain.
If nothing happens here with this new rumor then it probably wasn't right for Everton.

I changed my vote to being against this consortium last night. I've done my research and I think they are sharks who intend to do laden the club with massive amounts of debt. Should I be waiting for their propaganda to be published before I come to this conclusion? Like waiting for the Destination Kirkby brochure to describe the shed as a worldclass stadium, or Hicks an Gilette publishing their plans for a 400,000 all-seater airport in Stanley Park, that came with a 200,000 all-seater kop with spades in the ground in a fortnight?

This guy is known for paying the lowest wages in baseball, he is also known for walking off with 200 million dollars of Padres TV money before he sold the Padres. He did not need to do that, and would have still made an absolutely massive profit if he had not done so, at a time when he was already stinking rich. The development of the new stadium was paid with 75% of public money, which is something that is commonplace in America but almost unheard of in the UK. The 'success' of the Padres is nothing to write home about either, I do not think.

On top of all this, he tried to sell the Padres to a person using leveraged finance, only for the sale to be blocked by an FA-like baseball authority, who decided that the guy that was about to buy the club was too bloody dodgy!

I've just changed my vote to "need more info" because I was absolutely harpooned when I first voted for this lot. Fact is though we won't know if they're good, bad or indifferent until around 3 years after they've taken us over, at the earliest.

Newcastle have been performing when on the TV. We better turn up for both half's today otherwise I'll loose my head.

Careful I was jumped on for declaring I voted against.

1860 Munich haven't exactly been lighting the world on fire under him. Took an injury time winner in a two-legged playoff to keep them from being relegated to the third division last season.
