So who have we be linked with so far? The Americans, someone from Thailand, and now a Jordanian.

The latter two seem much preferable to the Americans based on past experience.

Chang bloke was mentioned recently. Plus anyone who has kept their head down.

Who knows?

Why are people happier about that Jordanian than the Americans? Just because he's closer to everyone's dream of a Sheikh? He arguably hasn't done any more for the team he owns the majority of (1860 Munich) than the Americans have for the Padres.

He owns 60% of the German team, I think, and isn't allowed to own any more(Grtman FA rules?) This is why he has limited his investment, and would prefer to own a Prem club. I think it says that in the article?

Makes sense. Tbh I didn't spend too long reading the article because I've never heard of "winner sports" before so I just can't imagine they have any inside knowledge about this.

I want the yanks, the sheik and chang man to join up,world domination not just the prem why think small

Nah, because according to my RS mate from Torquay, Liverpool are "defo on" for the world cup in 2018 - they don't even have to qualify!

We could come second though in Qatar, with the ref giving them lot a pen in the final.

I suppose unless the investors are from L4 they are all wools and plastics to be fair, let's carry on being skint until a homie buys us up.

Sorry, i think the cider is kicking in, I shall try to not post until sobriety hits once more.

My understanding is that no matter what % he owns above 50%, he is restricted to 49% of voting rights, so in effect can be blocked at every turn.
Don't follow German football, but did a tour of the Allianz Arena a couple of years back and the guide reckoned that as soon as 1860 got relegated and couldn't afford their half ownership it was the beginning of a very slippery slope for them.
