BK is staying on in 'an honorary role' is one story that has done the rounds. So he'd be there anyway.
Him being there in an honorary role would be great - just keep him away from anything to do with the actual running of the club

Strangely enough ,for many people, Bill being involved even 'honorary' after a takeover would give us a voice and supporter in the 'inner sanctum' of the club, which as you say would be a good thing, and might even become important. All depends how well Bill is, mind you, he may not be fit enough to watch us win a cup.
Honorary role? Wow. People struggle with change in life don't they?

Don't kid yourself. Let the man retire in peace and look after his health.Only if he puts the profit made on the sale of the shares into our transfer fund.
@The Esk could this possible scenario be current boards way to make transition safer etc. ..Strangely enough ,for many people, Bill being involved even 'honorary' after a takeover would give us a voice and supporter in the 'inner sanctum' of the club, which as you say would be a good thing, and might even become important. Let the man retire in peace and look after his health. He hasn't really done anything for us. Let him go back to being a supporter like the rest of us.It isnt that unusual. Think Charlton at United, John Hall at Newcastle I am sure had some weird title when he sold up.
Means jack in the scheme of things, just gives a nod to the tradition of a club after a change of ownership.
