One game at a time, lid, one game at a time!
I no but we are playing well there's no reason we can't have a good go at it . This team is different from last season because it has the ability to grind out wins or get draws because we have a scorer who can take his chances

I'm only youngish mate (22) and it took me a few years to accept the 'one game a time' mantra myself. I kept slotting in imaginary 3 pointers just on the basis they'd be home bankers. Equally, I'd put down draws or defeats in tough games and we'd come out with wins. Overall, we threw away far more 'bankers' than we ever pulled rabbits out of hats, and ultimately my points predictions were never even close. I've left that behind now, because we (and football) is so unpredictable. We could beat Spurs 3-0 and draw with Stoke, it's not even too unlikely.

I agree though, get the points total you mentioned by new year and we'll be in a great position.

Im always an optimist but Champions even I cant see. I do see us competing for 4th though.

My table is:-

Chelsea
Arsenal
Man City
Everton
Liverpool
Spurs
Man Utd

Chelsea's strikers even Torres will start scoring and if not their midfield is just too strong, Arsenal if they keep Flamini fit will keep going this year. Man City will gain enough points cos if the squad they have even wi Joe Hart in goal, Then us, I just have a feeling we can do something this year. Liverpool will falter just like their 2nd half performances and Spus and Man Utd arent hitting their strides and are struggling in most games.

Im confident we can maintain this pace and I predict a good 4th place and champions league qualification.

Being optimistic and going for 6th

Likewise.

And nothing more than wishful thinking, but imagine where the club would be sitting if we had Lukaku from the start? I imagine we'd probably have won one or two of those draws based on EFC being 5-0 since in league, excepting the loss at City. Water under the bridge looking back, but a point for consideration looking forward...

Head wobbling :-) Can't see Man Utd in top 4 this season. They don't have the squad or manager than intimidates clubs anymore. Out of their squad I would only sat RVP, Rooney and Vidic are truly world class, the rest are a bit good but not that good.

How many would get straight into our best side? The 3 above and thats it.

6th or, at a push, 5th.

Sunday will be a good indicator for us. They're not on great form so it's a great chance to push ahead of one of our rivals and catch up to the sh*te.

Thing with man utd is the have a poor defence and there will be high scores like the game against stoke . Anyone with a decent striker could of finished utd add to that moyes subs then they will be leaking goals all over the show. They have no problem scoring goals but conceding they are gash . Not what champions league teams do

Don't think we'll finish top 4, but if we come through the next 10 games still in contention when we have to play Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal then anything could happen.

We can get 4th if we stay reasonably healthy from here on out, and a buy or two in the Janurary window (Fernando anyone??).

Our home form is second to none and confidence breeds confidence. We have the ability just not the depth.

Saturday home to Spurs is a big marker on where we are headed though. 3 points there and we will truly be a force to be reckoned with. Lose there and the wheels come off a bit. Draw wouldn't be a great result either but not enough to dampen my enthusiasm.
